My Mother-In-Law Lorraine is recovering from hip replacement surgery, and she knows I make cards, so I thought I’d take the opportunity of sending her a get well soon card to try something new that would be a bit different and make her smile.
I searched for easel cards for some inspiration, but high up in the results was this tutorial , showing how to make a triple double twisted easel card, I thought it looked impressive, and after reading through the instructions realised that in fact it’s fairly simple to do using the Crafter’s Companion Ultimate Pro.
To decorate, I used the paper that came with this month’s copy of “Simply Handmade“, which is lovely looking, as well as excellent quality. The black card stock used as matting is by Hunkydory I added the flower embellishments that accompanied last month’s “Papercrafter” which look lovely from above, as well as adding an extra step for the easels to rest against.
My sentiment is printed using Hobbycraft’s Mini Wooden Alphabet Stamp Set, which took a horrible number of attempts to get right. I used a Spellbinders die to create uniform labels out of white card stock for the sentiment.
I hope she likes it!
